Loop Lighting
Loop lighting can serve multiple purposes. It is a lighting method that works for mostly all subjects. Although, loop lighting is mostly used for subjects with an oval face since it makes the cheekbones look higher and more defined and makes the face look slimmer and longer. Loop lighting helps to light most of the subject's face but still uses shadows to create depth. This lighting method is set up by positioning your light about 30-45 degrees from the camera to the side of the subject. Your light should be positioned above the subject's eye level and pointing down at their face in the direction they are facing. This will result in a beautiful picture lit to perfection!
